Off to a Great Start

The conference has begun and we've heard from our Keynote Speaker Dr. Elangovan (a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and the Director of International Programs at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business). He began his speech by proposing three queries:
1) Is the world getting better or worse?
His response, in brief, is that it is getting better.
2) Is the UN the right body to tackle the challenges we face?
His response, in brief, is yes.
3) How should we deal with our differences in tackling these challenges?
We need to ask "Why" we want the things we want and not merely "What" we want.
He left delegates with the reminder that we need to be "tough on the problem and soft on the people".
