2053 Saudi Arabia Gone Dry - Day 1

11:33 - Meanwhile 35 years into the future we've received communication from the directors of the SGD Crisis. Russian expansionism has extended to Armenia, Georgia and most recently Azerbaijan. They are currently up against the border of Turkey and Iran.

12:03 - Because of the ever decreasing use of oil, widespread unemployment plagues Saudi Arabia. The people are currently protesting in Riyadh and Doha.

13:20- The Saudi Arabian delegation are cognizant of what they believe to be an "impending Russian invasion" (Minister of Justice) and are indeed certain that "Russia won't be held back" by the armies of neighbouring countries (Leader of the Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia).

13:40 - The room is in near universal agreement that they should seek out an alliance with India, albeit for different reasons. One of the few naysayers is the Minister of Finance, who actually supports an alliance with India in general, but at this time believes we need to focus internally to resolve the increasingly serious crisis.

14:13 - Because of the rapid approachment of Russian troops, a representative from the Arab League has arrived to communicate that they will welcome a military alliance with other countries provided they maintain sovereignty. The delegation from India has been brought in to hear appeals for a military alliance. They are "not looking for protection" from Russia and thus expect to be offered incentives to provide troops. They are declining to include weaponry if such an offer is made and accepted.

14:42 - Saudi Arabia is hoping for a three-way alliance with India and China. They are drafting a proposal for India to gain troops as well as a similar offer to Brazil. The Ceo of Tasnee, as one of the poorer companies involved, is concerned that India is going to demand a lot of money for trade, and that Tasnee will have to pay an exorbitant amount. However, they conceded that such support is needed at this time.

15:45 - A trial is held for the Minister of Justice on the grounds that he participated in the plot to assassinate his predecessor and used deadly force to quiet protestors (which resulted in the deaths of 2,200 citizens). He is found not guilty on all charges.

16:15 - They attempt to assassinate Putin with 20 troops in the centre of the Cremlin. They fail and all 20 troops are slaughtered.
